Nynke Foundation was formally established in February 2020 and has its base in The Netherlands and in Kenya

Nynke Foundation was formally established in February 2020 and has its base in The Netherlands and in Kenya.

Nynke is the late daughter of the founders of this foundation, Rogier Huijmans and Elizabeth Muriithi.

Through Nynke Foundation, we want to keep her spirit alive and provide others a chance for a meaningful life. Nynke was with us for a moment, but we want her to leave a lifetime of love and impact for others.

Our Mission

Nynke Foundation supports adolescents with financial and non-financial support to start and finish their secondary education and provide additional education such as mentoring and leadership trainings to better prepare them for their futures lives.

Our Vision

Nynke Foundation believes in a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to pursue meaningful education and contribute to the welfare of the community and country at large.

OUR CORE VALUES

Nynke Foundation believes in adhering to the following values that guides in our work:

Inclusivity

Nynke Foundation strongly believes that personal or social-economic circumstances such as gender, disability, ethnic origin, poverty or family background, are not obstacles to achieving educational potential

Transparency

Nynke Foundation shows all its results on a regular basis, this includes financial reporting and being accountable to our donors and the communities we work in as well as reporting on the study progress of student beneficiaries

Equity

Nynke Foundation believes that all children and adolescents should reach at least a basic minimum level of skills and competencies to participate in society no matter their personal or socio-economic background. Those children and adolescents who come from less privileged parts of society) deserve extra support and attention.

Diligence

Nynke Foundation works hard to achieve its goals, we instill the same in our student beneficiaries to make them responsible and hard-working citizens
